چکیده
The objective of this study was to determine the effects whole-corn moisture and hammermill screen size on subsequent ground corn moisture, particle flowability. Treatments were arranged as a 2 × factorial design with two concentrations (14.5 16.7%), each using sizes (3 mm 6 mm). Corn lab-scale 1.5 HP Bliss Hammermill at three separate timepoints create replications per treatment. Ground flowability calculated angle repose (AOR), percent compressibility, critical orifice diameter (COD) measurements composite flow index (CFI). There no evidence for interaction content (MC), size, standard deviation, or metrics. Grinding 3 resulted in decreased (p < 0.041) compared screen. decrease 0.031) from mm, but difference observed deviation. 0.030) compressibility increased mm. In conclusion, decreasing loss by 0.55%, 126 µm poorer measured AOR. higher 89 improved CFI.

Effect of Particle Size on Detergent Powders Flowability and Tabletability
Detergent powders are sometimes processed into compact tablets for cleaning purposes based on the advantage of dosage, minimised dusting and packaging its offers over their powder counterpart. The flow-ability greatly influences handling. The particle size within the powder plays a key role on handling, flow-ability and the strength of the produced compact detergent tablet. The Ariel powder use...
متن کاملThe Effects of Particle Size, Different Corn Stover Components, and Gas Residence Time on Torrefaction of Corn Stover
Large scale biofuel production will be possible only if significant quantities of biomass feedstock can be stored, transported, and processed in an economic and sustainable manner. Torrefaction has the potential to significantly reduce the cost of transportation, storage, and downstream processing through the improvement of physical and chemical characteristics of biomass. The main objective of...
متن کاملEffects of catalyst particle size on methanol dehydration at different temperatures and weight hourly space velocities
The effect of catalyst particle size on dehydration of methanol to dimethyl ether is investigated using fixed bed and micro-channel reactors at different temperatures and weight hourly space velocities. The experiments were carried out at 290 and 320oC. The space velocities were changed from 10 up to 90h-1 and from 1.22 to 3.65h-1 for fixed bed and micro-channel reactors, respectively. Consider...
متن کاملParticle Size Effects on Hydro-Cyclone Performance
The hydrocyclone has a very important roll in industrial separation. The consideration of its behavior is very important for design. In this investigation, behavior of water flow and particles trajectory inside a hydrocyclone has been considered by means of numerical and experimental methods, and results have been compared together. To have a numerical simulation, a CFD software was used, and f...
